Bambi & Dan: Behind The Scenes for Vogue Brides

It'd be safe to say Bambi Northwood-Blyth is my favourite model, I've been loving her since circa 2010. So when she and Ksubi founder Dan Single got engaged I practically squealed with excitement! Although there's a 13 year age gap the two seem like the most perfect couple to me, as well as coolest in the Australian fashion industry.
Since Bambi & Dan are soon to be married their feature in the most recent issue of Vogue Brides seems perfectly fitting. Here are some behind the scenes shots from the shoot (more here). Now I'm just waiting on the actually wedding photos, I'm expecting something really interesting coming from these two.

Free People presents

I'm a media student, and as you've hopefully already realised, I love my clothes. So as you can expect, I'm in total bliss when fashion and film come together! Free People's one of my favourite brands so when I saw these two short film's they'd created to represent their collections I was in heaven. The only thing that was stopping me from dying from happiness is that I'm not these people or wearing these clothes. Oh well, we can all dream....*sigh*
Film is being used more and more to explore and represent fashion brands which I think is a really great for both industries. Creatives coming together from two different fields to create one product is always very interesting and inspiring. I just love that Free People has not only used the median of film but that they've put a story behind it so that the viewers can get really immersed in what their seeing. Which, really, is such a great marketing idea (putting a story behind the clothes) because it makes girls like me want to buy them even more. So sneaky!
Enjoy lovelies!

2013 Met Gala "Punk- Chaos to Couture"

So with the most glamorous night in fashion being a couple of days ago.. I thought it was absolutely necessary that I did a recap on my top 10 favorite looks from the night!

Look through and leave a comment as to your most loved (or most hated) look from the night!

Countless X's and O's
-L
1. Emma Watson:
With Emma being one of my favorite people in the world, it's no doubt that her fashion is one of my favorite things too! Her stunning cut out dress really enhanced her beautiful figure and made her a stand out (even if the train was a bit  tricky!)
2. Cara Delevigne:
Cara's look is always edgy and interesting... But when paired with a stunning floor length black dress with studs, she is unbeatable!
3. Anne Hathaway:
With the debut of her new hair, all eyes were on Anne. Not only did her hair suit her, but her gorgeous sheer dress as well!
4. Gisele Bundchen:
Her short dress certainly fit the theme with the gold detail (that looked like grommets- am I right?) and her beautiful side swept hair! With looks like that Gisele can never go wrong!
5. Miranda Kerr:
As usual, Miranda has absolutely showcased her beauty. Her beautiful black dress with cutouts showed off her stunning Victoria's Secret figure and made everyone that saw her extremely jealous of her beauty (or at least me)!!
6. Kristen Stewart:
I'm not usually a massive fan of Kristen, but the Twilight star definitely brought her  A game to the met ball! Her beautiful deep red jumpsuit and smoky eye makeup complimented both her look and the theme beautifully!
7. Katie Holmes:
Her beautiful custom made 'Calvin Klein Collection' dress was a showstopper. The beautiful long train may have been a slight nuisance, but it sure made an impact of the red carpet.
8. Blake Lively:
Even though she went solo to the Met Gala, Blake looked amazing on the red carpet in her baby blue and black dress with silver detail. With her hair slicked back and her natural makeup, Blake took her chic style to a whole other level.
9. Gwyneth Paltrow:
Gwyneth looked stunning in her pink dress with an illusion panel. It was absolutely stunning and the pink complemented her skin tone and blonde hair fabulously!
10. Carey Mulligan:
Carey was another leading lady to rock the cutout trend at this years gala. Her structured black dress was incredible against her petite features and beautiful blonde hair.

Festival Wear

Above are my favourite looks from Coachella 2013. Now, I do know Coachella was a few weeks ago - which is basically years in the blogosphere - but Groovin in the Moo music festival  is currently taking over Australia and I have major regrets for not getting tickets in time. Yesterday Groovin' stopped at Bendigo - which I could of been going to!!
So naturally, in my despair, I turned to obsessing over the amazing style from the one of the best festivals out there. I'm absolutely adoring the maxi skirts and statement sunglasses that seemed to be a big choice for the festival goers at Coachella. If only I could have been sporting the look yesterday!
If anyone reading this went/is going to Groovin or any festivals I'd love to know what you wore/are planning to wear.
Love always

For Love & Lemons Summer 13' Collection

It'll be hard to beat their "About A Girl" Spring '13 Collection starring Ashley Smith, but For Love & Lemons  Summer '13 Collection "Cry Baby" has come pretty pretty close. It's inspired by Johnny Depp's character 'Cry Baby' from the film that goes by the same name. In reference to the new collection and 'Cry Baby' For Love & Lemons wrote on their blog:  "We love Johnny Depp's bad boy style and his tender little heart in it. Yes, we would like to be his girlfriend, but it's 2013 and we would also like to dress like him!!"
Can't wait to get my hands on one of these pieces... especially if it means there's some connection between what I'm wearing and J Depp.
Love Always
