We're a little bit bored of seeing runway picture after runway picture so this post is full of pictures from backstage at our favourite shows in Milan. There's something great about before the show snaps, for us it's seeing the personality of the models and the backstage antics that take place behind the scenes.

Australia's Next Top Model

On Tuesday night, 16 year old Melissa Juratowitch won Australia's Next Top Model. We can credit unbelievably symmetrical face and 'seven finger forehead'  for her contract with IMG, Nissan Dualis, trip to Paris and $20,000 that's she's received for being dubbed 'Australia's Next Top Model'. She'll be on the cover of the next issue of Harpers Bazaar and we've included some behind the scenes shots from the shoot below as well as the final cover.

Model Radar: Maddison Brown

We are absolutely adoring fresh faced model Maddison Brown right now, and we've noticed it's not only us. At just 16 she's been spotted sporting Louis Vuitton, walking for Marchesa and Phillip Lim and on the pages of Vogue Australia, Oyster Magazine and Interview. This season our home grown beauty has been walking in New York, London, Milan and at this rate it's likely we'll be seeing her in Paris too. 

One thing we can't quite grasp is that Maddison is the same age as us. Yet we're stuck here studying for exams whilst she's jet setting around the world - and it doesn't help that she posts all the amazing things she does on her Instagram and Tumblr, we can't run away from her success! Oh well, for now we'll just try to live vicariously through her.

NYFW Street Style

Of course we love Fashion Week  for it's amazing designers, but we (and everyone else) also obsesses over the show on the street. I think what we all love about it is that it showcases clothes and designers in a different way to runaways, in a way that people can actually relate to - because it's not a model who's been made up to sell that product wearing it, instead it's someone who genuinely likes the piece and has styled it to their own desire. It's that little bit more real.
